Chetan Bhagat-"Three mistakes of my life"

It seems like months since i wrote something here ; in my very own blog ;though I am no Ayn Rand , or for that matter even Sidney Sheldon -But yeah , once u start something , u mst hold on to tht , and thats my motto for the day (I will keep track for how many days I keep up wid my latest motto).

Nyways lets move on to my first book review , which I will keep SSS - short , sweet and simple !!
How much my intellectuals friends criticise Chetan Bhagat for his unoriginal and masala sort of writing ; the fact is that "Five Point Someone" (howevr piece of crap it luks to most people who give their verdict after reading it non stop till the end ) has brought many lazy souls to switch from other mundane activities to reading ,although these lazy souls switch back to there mundane activities as soon as the novel finishes. They get their act together only when another day to day novel arrives in the market (aka One night at a call centre) than back to usual.I don't exactly belong to this category, though I wud agree that seeing a Chetan Bhagat novel on stands makes me restless until and unless I can lay my hands on it and read it to the end.
The point here is the rage that was created by Five Point Someone and to some extent One night at a call center has been amazing. Here comes a writer who picks up characters u can identify urself wid ; takes a nice background(aka IIT,Call center) , cooks up a nice story , adds lots of masala , spices it with some kiss scenes , some gyaan and keeps its price low. And eureka ! Thats the winning formula!!
But ,what happens when u start running out of ideas ?
U make the biggest mistake of ur life in the form of "3 mistakes of my life".
The story of this novel is on similar lines to that of his first two novels .

Here the backdrop is Gujarat (covers period from 2001 to 2002 when Gujarat was shakened up by an earthquake in 2000 , and Godhra and communal violence in 2002).Add to it 3 friends (not again)on similar lines to the previous novels characters , spiced up with all the physical and chemical properties as mentioned bf4.And the best part is to make emotional fool of cricket crazy janta by making the look and feel of the cover as if it belongs to "cricket".Phew !!!

Ladies and gentleman ,in his latest attempt this novel fails to strike even a single chord wid the readers and seems it was written just for the sake of writing. Two out of the 3 mistakes mentioned made my head spin as to why they were referrred as "biggest mistakes ".Their is also an aboriginal and genuine 40 pages fight scene at the end which made me proud of our south indian movies (I can assure u that better sense still prevails their-yana rascala ).
Political parties have been bashed liberally thoughout and travel to a foreign country was nvr easy bf4.
With all the bashing done here are some lines spoken by an Aussie character worth reading -"Mate in ur country (India) when people meer they ask u - do u own a house ?Which car do u hv ?how much money do u have ??But when people meet in our country they ask u wat all sports do u play mate ??

Thats clears it all !!!!

Nyways i must state here that watevr I hv written is copyrighted by me and must be taken as my personel opinion. Also I , hereby publicaly admit that i hv a poor vocabulary which severely hampers my writing skills .... :(

Cheers !!!!
